Clear protection for member data.
This page explains how ODM Students Front collects, uses and protects data submitted through the membership and public engagement platform.
Last updated: May 5, 2026
Data we collect
We collect information needed to process membership, route applicants to chapters, verify email ownership and provide support. This may include name, email, phone, national ID number, date of birth, county, constituency, ward, institution, course, year of study and application status.
How we use information
We use submitted information to verify membership applications, prevent duplicate applications, assign chapter routing, send OTP and status emails, support members, prepare aggregated reporting and improve the platform.
Security controls
The platform uses validation, CSRF protection, rate limiting, OTP verification, restricted admin access and database controls. Administrators should keep credentials private and use secure devices.
Retention
Membership records are retained while the member relationship remains active or while operational, legal or administrative needs require them. Unneeded submissions may be archived, anonymised or deleted according to internal policy.
Your rights
A member may request correction of inaccurate data, review of status, account support or deletion/anonymisation where appropriate. Some data may be retained where necessary for legitimate record keeping.
